AbbVie Q3 Revenue Rises 10.3% to $17.404 Billion

AbbVie’s third-quarter revenue increased by 10.3% year-over-year to $17.404 billion, fueled by continued strong performance in its immunology portfolio, notably Skyrizi and Rinvoq. The results come as the pharmaceutical sector broadly experiences slower growth compared to other industries currently reporting robust earnings. Skyrizi revenues reached $5.776 billion, a 22.7% increase, while Rinvoq saw a 23.9% jump to $2.706 billion. These gains were partially offset by a 31.2% decline in Humira revenues, reaching $683 million, as the product faces increased biosimilar competition.

On a GAAP basis, AbbVie’s gross margin ratio was 75.4%, with an adjusted gross margin ratio of 85.1%. The company reported a GAAP diluted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.37, and an adjusted diluted EPS of $3.82. AbbVie is raising its full-year 2026 adjusted diluted EPS guidance from $13.76 - $13.96 to $13.95 - $13.99.

Reflecting confidence in its financial performance, AbbVie also announced a 5.2% increase in its quarterly cash dividend, raising it to $1.82 per share, payable February 16, 2027, to shareholders of record on January 15, 2027. This dividend increase continues AbbVie's history of consistent shareholder returns, having increased its quarterly dividend by 355% since its inception in 2013. The company’s continued investment in its pipeline, highlighted by the acquisition of Apogee Therapeutics, suggests an ongoing commitment to innovation and long-term growth, though the financial impact of these investments remains to be seen.
