The planned bond purchase, approved by CTBC Commercial Bankās board on October 27th, will be executed at face value, with the total transaction amount capped at NT$195 billion. The transaction represents a significant internal capital movement, with CTBC Commercial Bank acting as the underwriter for the bonds issued by its parent. As of the latest financial reporting period, investments in securitiesāincluding this potential transactionāaccounted for 27.37% of the bankās total assets and a substantial 379.59% of equity attributable to owners.
Concurrently, CTBC Commercial Bank completed the transfer of credit assets, amounting to NT$883.15 million, to Far Eastern International Commercial Bank and Taishin International Commercial Bank. The bank stated the asset transfer aims to optimize its loan portfolio. This move appears to be a routine measure to actively manage its debt asset composition.
