Nan Ya Plastics Corp. (TWSE: 1303) announced substantial revenue and profit gains for September, while also responding to a recent media report questioning the quality of its high-end materials. The company reported September revenue of 34.423 billion NTD, a 55.26% increase year-over-year. More dramatically, earnings per share reached 4.42 NTD, representing a 910.43% increase over the same period last year.

The strong financial performance follows a trend of growth, with the company also reporting increases in its most recent quarterly results. For the most recent quarter, revenue increased by 27.29% to 83.647 billion NTD, and tax-free net profit surged 833.52% to 30.764 billion NTD. These gains are partially attributable to the inclusion of third-quarter investment income from affiliates like Nan Ya Technology and Formosa Petrochemical, recognized on a quarterly basis.

Alongside the positive financial results, Nan Ya Plastics addressed a report from Yahoo Stock News alleging that its M9 high-end materials failed verification by Amazon Web Services (AWS). The company categorically denied the report, stating that the market rumors of non-compliance are untrue. This response suggests a proactive effort to manage potential reputational damage and maintain investor confidence.

In a separate filing, Nan Ya Plastics announced it will participate in an investor conference hosted by Taishin Securities on October 23rd (potentially postponed to October 27th due to a Taipei City government announcement of a work stoppage), providing a platform for management to engage with the financial community and discuss the company’s performance.

Nan Ya Plastics’ reported earnings demonstrate significant growth, with a 910.43% increase in earnings per share, and the denial of quality control concerns will be closely watched by investors for any sign of impact on future performance. The company’s investor conference offers an opportunity to further clarify its strategy and address any lingering concerns.
