Olam Group Subsidiary Issues $100M in 5-Year Notes
Olam Group Limited announced that Olam International Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary within Olam Food Ingredients (“OFI”), issued $100 million in 5-year floating rate notes on August 31, 2026. The notes were issued via a private placement under its existing EMTN programme.The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Singapore Branch, acted as the dealer for the issuance.
The proceeds will be used to refinance OFI's existing debt and for general corporate purposes. Olam Group is a food and agri-business operating in over 50 countries and is listed on the Singapore Exchange.
The company is a component stock of the iEdge Singapore Next 50 index and is included in several FTSE and MSCI indices, including those focused on ESG investing and developed market capitalization.
The issuance of these notes comes as global interest rates remain elevated, impacting the cost of borrowing for corporations. This debt financing allows Olam Group to manage its capital structure and fund ongoing operations in a dynamic macroeconomic environment.
