PetroChina H1 Revenue Rises 5.3%

PetroChina’s revenue for the first half of 2026 reached RMB1,527,491 million, a 5.3% increase compared to RMB1,450,021 million in the same period last year. This growth was primarily attributed to increased prices and sales volumes of the company’s oil and gas, and chemical products. Revenue from the Marketing segment rose by 7.8% to RMB1,261,092 million, while revenue from Natural Gas Sales increased by 2.7% to RMB319,486 million, driven by increased domestic sales volume.

The increase in revenue reflects continued demand within the Chinese market, despite global economic headwinds and ongoing concerns regarding the property sector. The company’s performance also suggests resilience within the broader Chinese energy sector, which has shown unexpected strength. The reported revenue increase provides a snapshot of the company’s operational momentum in the first half of the year, though a comprehensive assessment requires further data on profitability and asset quality.
