ST Engineering Wins $5.6B in Q3 Contracts, Boosting Order Book

Singapore Technologies Engineering (ST Engineering) announced S$5.6 billion in new contracts for the third quarter of 2026, significantly bolstering its order book and signaling continued strong demand across its diverse business lines.

The surge in contracts brings the total value of new orders secured for the first nine months of 2026 to S$13.2 billion. This performance reflects successes across all three of the company’s core segments: Commercial Aerospace, which brought in S$1.4 billion; Defence & Public Security, with S$1.8 billion; and Urban Solutions & Satcom, contributing S$2.4 billion. Within Commercial Aerospace, notable wins included a first-of-its-kind airframe heavy maintenance contract for the Airbus A220 with an Asia-Pacific operator, expanding the company’s capabilities beyond established platforms like the A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX.

The Defence & Public Security segment saw a five-year contract to supply 40mm ammunition to the UK Ministry of Defence, alongside further orders from international customers. Digital Systems also secured projects in data centres, public safety infrastructure, and defence command-and-control. The Urban Solutions & Satcom segment benefited from major rail projects in Taiwan and Bangkok, as well as electronic road tolling contracts in Dubai and the U.S. and advancements in satcom deployments through its ‘Intuition’ platform.

While the company notes these contracts are not expected to materially impact its net tangible assets or earnings per share for the current financial year, the substantial order backlog provides significant revenue visibility. ST Engineering’s diversified portfolio and expanding global presence, with operations spanning Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the U.S., continues to position it as a key player in the technology, defence, and engineering sectors.

The strong contract flow underscores ST Engineering's ability to capitalize on growing demand for its services in crucial sectors. The company’s revenue exceeded S$12 billion in 2025 and it maintains a listing on major indices like the MSCI Singapore and FTSE Straits Times Index, reflecting its financial strength and market standing.
