Unimicron Technology Reports NT$29.14 Billion in Q3 Net Income
Unimicron Technology Corp. reported a net income of NT$29.14 billion for the third quarter of 2026, a significant increase from the NT$18.72 billion reported in the first half of the year. This performance was driven by a quarterly revenue of NT$132.99 billion, according to filings with the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
The company’s gross profit for the quarter reached NT$32.55 billion, while operating income totaled NT$19.94 billion. Non-operating income contributed a further NT$15.10 billion, bringing pre-tax income to NT$35.04 billion. After accounting for an income tax expense of NT$5.89 billion, net income settled at NT$29.14 billion, translating to a basic earnings per share of NT$17.85.
As of September 30, 2026, Unimicron’s total assets stood at NT$399.84 billion, comprised of NT$232.95 billion in current assets and NT$166.90 billion in non-current assets. Total liabilities were reported at NT$217.77 billion, with equity reaching NT$182.07 billion. The book value per share was NT$108.24. The balance sheet reflects a solid capital structure, with retained earnings contributing NT$91.48 billion to the overall equity position.
Unimicron’s strong Q3 performance arrives amid a broader trend of robust, though uneven, growth in Indian corporate earnings, as evidenced by recent data. While some sectors, like oil-to-chemicals and agriculture, are experiencing surges, the technology sector remains under pressure. Unimicron's ability to deliver substantial profit growth in this environment suggests effective cost management and strong demand for its products. The increased net income compared to the first half of the year implies a positive trajectory in the company’s profitability, supported by a stable asset base and healthy equity levels.
